Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam

Music by Britten, Poulenc and Hindemith

Saturday 22 June 2013, 7pm

Wellington Cathedral of St Paul
Cnr Molesworth and Hill St
Wellington

Directed by Michael Stewart

2013 marks the anniversaries of three giants of 20th century choral music: the 100th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten, and the 50th anniversary of the deaths of Francis Poulenc and Paul Hindemith. This programme pays homage to these three composers, including Britten’s AMDG, Poulenc’s Litanies à la Vierge Noire, and Hindemith’s attractive Six Chansons. Featuring Richard Apperley on the organ of Wellington Cathedral of St Paul.

This concert was part of the 2013 Subscription Series.
